Eye on Global Health is a student-led initiative, affiliated with the School of Global Health at the University of Copenhagen.
Mission statement December 2024
Eye on Global Health and Decolonizing Global Health are partner initiatives led by students at the University of Copenhagen.
We are a hub of writing, events, and information related to the fields of global health and decolonization. We aim to provide a platform for students looking to take their knowledge beyond the classroom, and for a diverse array of voices exploring health and decolonization as means of promoting liberation, justice and equity worldwide.
History
Since its inception in August 2013, the blog has had an overwhelmingly positive response from students, KU staff and the wider global health community. The current team aims to cover a wide range of relevant and current topics based on students’ experiences and interests. Drawing on an intersectional feminist perspective, we aim to shed light on complex issues and explore topics that go beyond what can be found in our core curriculum.
Anyone is welcome to write for us (not just students), and we welcome opportunities for collaboration. See “Get Involved” for more information.
